Overview
Zhejiang Medical College was a medical higher education institution in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, formed in February 1952 by the merger of the Zhejiang Provincial College of Medicine (itself tracing to the Chekiang Provincial Medical School, founded 1912, the first modern medical school in China) and the National Chekiang University School of Medicine.
In April 1964 Zhejiang Medical College was upgraded and renamed Zhejiang Medical University, which was later merged into Zhejiang University in 1998.
