Overview
Won Buddhism Graduate School most likely refers to the postgraduate school of Wonkwang University, a Won-Buddhism-affiliated university in Iksan, North Jeolla Province, South Korea. Wonkwang University itself began as Yuilhakrim in 1946, became Wonkwang Junior College in 1951, gained college status in 1953, opened its postgraduate school in 1967, and achieved full university status in 1971.
Iksan is the headquarters of the Won Buddhism religious order (founded 1916 by Sotaesan), and hosts the order’s main educational and medical institutions.
