Overview
University for Football and Sports Science (Universidad del Fútbol y Ciencias del Deporte, UFD) is a sports-focused higher-education institution in the state of Hidalgo, Mexico. Its first stone was laid in 2000, and the campus was inaugurated in 2001. The university is part of Grupo Pachuca.
Programs and partnerships
UFD combines sports practice, applied research and academic training, and cooperates with the Mexican Football Federation (Femexfut) to train coaches, assistants, referees, sporting directors and physical trainers. More than 2,500 students have trained at the institution.
