Overview
Tyler Junior College (TJC) is a public community college in Tyler, Texas, USA. It was founded in 1926 as an extension of the Tyler public school system, with superintendent G.O. Clough as its first president and 93 initial students. In 1945, Tyler voters approved the creation of an independent Tyler Junior College District and issued bonds to build a dedicated campus.
TJC now offers more than 135 degree and certificate programs to nearly 20,000 students annually and marked its centennial in 2026.
