Overview
Tieling Teachers College is a public teacher-training college in Tieling, Liaoning Province, China. Tieling Normal School was formally established on 3 March 1950 under the Liaoning Province Education Department, with roots to a simple normal school at Tieling Yingang Academy in 1906. A separate teacher-training branch, established in 1978 under Liaoning University, became Tieling Normal Specialized School in 1983 and Tieling Normal Higher Specialized School in 1997, when it merged with Tieling Normal School under one name; Tieling Workers’ University was further merged in July 2001.
The college relocated from Yinzhou District to its current campus in Fanhe New District in September 2009.
