Overview
Technical Agricultural Institute corresponds to Instituto Técnico Agrícola (ITA), a public institution of higher education in Guadalajara de Buga, in Colombia’s Valle del Cauca department, attached to the National Ministry of Education.
History and programs
Originating from mid-20th-century agrarian-reform efforts to train agricultural instructors, ITA became formally administered by the Ministry of Education in 1976. The institute has since expanded beyond agriculture into programs including tourism, port services and sustainable mining.
