Overview
Faculdade Santa Marcelina is a private higher education institution in São Paulo, Brazil, maintained by the Marcelline Sisters, who arrived in Brazil in 1912. It traces its origin to 1929, when it began as the Instituto Musical Santa Marcelina; the Escola Superior de Artes Santa Marcelina followed in 1955 (recognized by Decree No. 47,671/60). The two establishments were unified and accredited as Faculdade Santa Marcelina under MEC Ordinance No. 519 of 31 August 1981.
The institution operates two units in São Paulo: Perdizes (Visual Arts, Music and Fashion) and Itaquera (Business Administration, Accounting Sciences, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Medicine, Nutrition and Psychology).
