Overview
Rangjung Yeshe Institute is a specialist Buddhist-studies institute partnered with Kathmandu University based in Boudha, Kathmandu, Nepal. RYI began offering courses in Buddhist philosophy and Himalayan languages in 1997; its Kathmandu University partnership created KU Centre for Buddhist Studies in 2001.
Current status and profile
Degree programs are offered through the Kathmandu University partnership, including bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral Buddhist-studies pathways. The institution should not be presented as an independent Nepali university.
