Overview

Penza State University (PSU) is a public multidisciplinary university in Penza, Russia. The university provides higher education across technical, economic, legal, humanities and other professional fields and maintains dedicated information for domestic and international applicants.

History

PSU dates its history to 3 July 1943, when the institution that became the Penza Industrial Institute resumed work in Penza on the basis of an evacuated part of the Odessa Industrial Institute. It later became Penza Polytechnic Institute, Penza State Technical University and, in 1998, Penza State University.

Programs

Current university pages show a broad portfolio that includes engineering and technology, economics and management, law, humanities and language study. Program availability, level and language of instruction vary. International applicants should consult the university’s international and admissions sections for the current catalogue and document requirements.

Tuition and Admission

PSU publishes current applicant information through its admissions services. Admission requirements depend on the degree level, program and applicant’s prior education. Tuition is set by program and academic year rather than as a single institutional rate. Applicants should rely on the current official fee documents and course pages for 2026/27 amounts instead of older estimates.
