Overview

Pavlodar Regional Institute for Advanced Teacher Training (Russian: областной институт усовершенствования учителей) is a teacher professional-development institution in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan. It was created by a decree of the Council of Ministers of the Kazakh SSR at the Pavlodar Regional Department of Education, on the basis of a methodological cabinet, starting with a staff of 15 employees; the exact founding year is not confirmed by available sources.

The institute published the methodological journal “Pedagogikалық альманах” and took part in the international “Competency-based Pedagogy” project (Montreal, Canada). It is now part of the “Orleu” National Center for Professional Development.
