Overview

National Institute of Telecommunications corresponds to Instituto Nacional de Telecomunicações (INATEL), founded in 1965 in Santa Rita do Sapucaí, in Brazil’s Minas Gerais state, within the region known as “Vale da Eletrônica” (Electronics Valley).

Programs

INATEL was the first institution in Brazil to offer a higher-education course in Telecommunications Engineering, and now also offers programs in Computer, Biomedical, and Control and Automation Engineering, plus technology programs; since 2014 it has also had a unit in São Paulo. It partners with over 100 companies including Cisco, Ericsson, Huawei and Nokia.
