Overview
Military Engineering School corresponds to the Escuela de Ingenieros Militares (ESING), part of the Engineering Command of Colombia’s National Army. It traces its origin to 1814, when Colonel Francisco José de Caldas inaugurated a School of Engineers in Rionegro, Antioquia, under the name Maestranza de Rionegro.
Role
ESING trains officers, non-commissioned officers, soldiers and civilian personnel of Colombia’s armed forces (and of allied countries), and develops and disseminates military engineering doctrine.
