Overview
Halifax College is a constituent college of the University of York, in Heslington, York, England, United Kingdom. Its residential accommodation blocks were first built in 1996 as the university expanded; the site, initially known as Halifax Court, was made a full college of the university in 2002 and renamed Halifax College (Wikipedia’s infobox dates founding to 2001). It is named after Edward Frederick Lindley Wood, 1st Earl of Halifax.
Halifax is the largest college at the University of York by number of students.
