Overview
Hainan Institute of Trade (Hainan College of Economics and Business) is a public higher vocational college in Haikou, Hainan Province, China, focused on finance and economics. Its predecessor, the Hainan Foreign Trade Staff Training School, was founded in 1984; it became the Hainan Foreign Economic Trade Staff Secondary Specialized School in 1986, was renamed the Hainan Foreign Trade School in 1988, and was established under its current name in July 2004 by approval of the Hainan Provincial People’s Government.
On 28 July 2010 the college was designated a provincial backbone higher vocational college.
