DIU focuses on continuing, part-time and professionally oriented higher education across management, law, engineering, health and related fields.
The university was founded in 2003, is state-recognized in Germany and is a wholly owned subsidiary of TUDAG; its headquarters are at the World Trade Center Dresden.
