Overview
Castelo Branco Faculty refers to the Faculdade de Educação, Ciências e Letras Marechal Castelo Branco, founded in October 1973 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, followed the next month by the Faculdade de Educação Física da Guanabara. In 1976 the two faculties combined to form the Faculdades Integradas Castelo Branco (FICAB), which in 1995 became Universidade Castelo Branco (UCB).
UCB now operates two campuses, in the Realengo (headquarters) and Penha neighborhoods of Rio de Janeiro, and is known as a reference institution for Physical Education in the city.
