Overview
Carl Sandburg College is a public, two-year community college based in Galesburg, Illinois, USA, founded in 1966 to provide accessible higher education in west-central Illinois. It is named after the Pulitzer Prize-winning poet and Lincoln biographer Carl Sandburg.
The college offers associate degrees and more than 50 occupational programs in fields such as health care, business and industrial technology, with a branch campus in Carthage and an additional site in downtown Galesburg. It is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
