Overview
Astrakhan Civil Engineering Institute (Russian: Астраханский инженерно-строительный институт) was a state institution of higher education in Astrakhan, Russia, established in 1992 to train specialists in architecture and civil engineering. On 30 December 2015 it was renamed Astrakhan State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (AGASU), the name it holds today.
It should not be confused with the separate, older Astrakhan State Technical University, founded in 1930 as the Astrakhan Technical Institute of the Fishing Industry and Economy.
