Overview
Alborz University of Medical Sciences is a public medical university in Karaj, the capital of Alborz Province, Iran. It traces its origins to a local branch of Iran University of Medical Sciences founded in 2006, renamed the Medical Science Faculty of Karaj in 2009, and reorganized as an independent state medical university in 2010.
The university operates seven schools together with hospitals and clinics across Karaj and Alborz Province, training physicians, dentists, pharmacists and allied health professionals.
