Overview
York College of Pennsylvania ( YCP ) – private nonprofit higher education institution in United States. YCP began its academic activity in1787. Thanks to its quite favourable location inside York, students can enjoy an active city life with a rural serenity.
Admissions and study format
The results of the examinations and the certificate of the academic performance are required to submission by the admission committee. It is worth mentioning that YCP is characterized by a mild competition among the students, there are only 2 applicants per seat. The academic year in YCP is divided to 2 academic semesters. Despite this the students can apply for scholarships provided by the university.
Students and academic staff
Being a medium scale university, York College of Pennsylvania teaches more than 5 thousand students. The university accepts applications from foreign students. About 599 teachers and professors are employed by YCP. During studies the students have the opportunity to participate in the international exchange programs.

The university has its own library. Also the university provides accommodations in the form of dormitories. It is a member of Council of Independent Colleges (CIC), as well as Sport affiliations and memberships: National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
