) – private nonprofit higher education institution in Guatemala. UVG began its work in the year 1966. The university has an urban campus in Guatemala City. Application process and the cost of tuition.
The students must pass examinations in order to get admitted to the university. Throughout the admission period more than 80 percent of applicants successfully enroll to the university. Nevertheless, in UVG the ratio may vary dramatically depending on the study program. University of the Valley of Guatemala chose to divide its academic year into semesters. In addition to low tuition fees the university provides the students with extra financial assistance in the form of scholarships.
