) – private nonprofit higher education institution in Brazil. UNISO was established in 1994. The main building of the university proudly stands in Sorocaba inside an urban campus.

Application process and the cost of tuition.

The enrollment is based on the exam results. The majority of applicants who submitted their application to UNISO successfully enroll, as the competition is 90 accepted students per 100 applicants. The academic year is divided into semesters like in many other educational institutions of Brazil. University of Sorocaba is medium in scale, teaching no more than 15 thousand students at a time. Foreign citizens can also apply to the university. Infrastructure of UNISO.

There is a library on the campus. The students can live on campus if the apply for a dormitory room. It is a part of the Conselho de Reitores das Universidades Brasileiras (CRUB), and also a member of OpenCourseWare Consortium (OCW).
