) – public higher education institution in Iraq. UOB became active in 1964. The main building of the university is located in Basrah inside an urban campus. University of Basrah confidently takes a spot among the top 20 universities of Iraq.
Application process and the cost of tuition.
In most cases the admission committee prioritizes applicant’s academic performance when considering him/her for admission. The majority of applicants who submitted their application to UOB successfully enroll, as the competition is 90 accepted students per 100 applicants. University of Basrah chose to divide its academic year into semesters. 1,000 USD/год. Those who wish to continue their studies at a master’s level should expect to spend at least 1,000 USD per year. Even though the tuition fees are not that high, the students still can apply for scholarship. In addition to full time programs, the university also offers a wide range of online courses.
