The John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin or Katolicki Uniwersytet Lubelski Jana Pawła II ( KUL ) – private nonprofit higher education institution in Poland. KUL began its academic activity in1918. The university campus is of urban type and is located in the vicinity of Lublin. The John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin is a regular among the top universities in the national rankings of Poland.
Admissions and study format
To enroll the student must provide the information on previous academic performance and pass examinations. The academic year is traditionally consists of semesters. Despite the fact that the university is privately funded, students still have the opportunity to apply for scholarships.

Being a medium scale university, The John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin teaches more than 19 thousand students. Being a foreign citizen does not exclude you from the admission process. The academic staff of KUL includes more than 3 thousand teachers and professors. The university is an active participant of international programs aimed at academic exchange of students between the educational institutions.

The university has its own library. Also the university provides accommodations in the form of dormitories. It is a member of European University Association (EUA), as well as International Federation of Catholic Universities (IFCU).
