Southwestern University ( SU ) – private nonprofit higher education institution in United States. SU began its activity in 1840. Thanks to its quite favourable location inside Georgetown, students can enjoy an active city life with a rural serenity.

The admission committee requests both examination results and the document on previous academic performance. The academic year in SU is divided to 2 academic semesters.

Students and academic staff

Southwestern University is relatively small, teaching about 2000 students on average. The university accepts both local and foreign students. The students may participate in various student exchange programs.

Infrastructure

There is a library on the campus. The students can live on campus if the apply for a dormitory room. It is a part of the Associated Colleges of the South (ACS), and also a member of Council of Independent Colleges (CIC), Sport affiliations and memberships: National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
