Roanoke College – private nonprofit higher education institution in United States. The history of Roanoke College can be traced back to1842 . Inside the city of Salem the university has built its own suburban campus.

Admissions and study format

To enroll the student must provide the information on previous academic performance and pass examinations. Throughout the admission period more than 70 percent of applicants successfully enroll to the university. Nevertheless, in Roanoke College the ratio may vary dramatically depending on the study program. Like in many universities of United States the academic year consists of two semesters. Despite this the students can apply for scholarships provided by the university.

Students and academic staff

Roanoke College is quite small, with 3000 students attending its classes. Foreign citizens can submit their applications along with the local students. The students may participate in various student exchange programs.

It is a member of Council of Independent Colleges (CIC), as well as Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU), Sport affiliations and memberships: National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
