Overview
Moi University ( MU ) – public higher education institution in Kenya. MU became active in 1984. The campus of the university is well known in Eldoret where it is located.
Admissions and study format
The admission process is based on the certificate of previous education provided by the applicant and academic performance. The majority of MU applicants successfully enrolls as there are about 90 seats per 100 applicants. Like in many universities of Kenya the academic year consists of two semesters. Not everyone can study full time, so Moi University offers such students a wide range of online programs.

Moi University is classified as a large university with more than 34,000 concurrent students. The university accepts applications from foreign students. The university has more than 3 thousand teachers. The university offers its students and the academic staff to participate in the international exchange programs.
Infrastructure
The university has a functioning library. For those who require accommodations dormitories on and off campus are offered. The university belongs to the number of groups and associations like the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), as well as the Association of African Universities (AAU) and Inter-University Council of East Africa (IUCEA).
