Overview
Mie University or 三重大学 ( MU ) – public higher education institution in Japan. MU began its academic activity in1949. The university campus is of urban type and is located in the vicinity of Tsu.
Admissions and study format
The applicant must pass examinations as a part of the admission process.
Students and academic staff
Being a medium scale university, Mie University teaches more than 7 thousand students. Both citizens and foreigners are able to apply. More than 2000 teachers are employed by the university. During studies the students have the opportunity to participate in the international exchange programs.

There is a library on the campus. The students can live on campus if the apply for a dormitory room.
