Mekelle University ( MU ) – public higher education institution in Ethiopia. MU became active in 1991. Mekelle University has an urban campus in Mek'ele.

The admission board requires applicant’s academic performance certificate and examination results. The majority of MU applicants successfully enrolls as there are about 90 seats per 100 applicants.
