Overview
Banasthali University ( BU ) – private nonprofit higher education institution in India. The history of BU can be traced back to1935 . The university has a rural type of campus, which means that it is outside of Jaipur.
Admissions and study format
In addition to the results of the examinations the applicant must submit a certificate of the previous academic performance. Throughout the admission period more than 60 percent of applicants successfully enroll to the university. Nevertheless, in BU the ratio may vary dramatically depending on the study program. Academic year of the university consists of two semesters.
Students and academic staff
Being a medium scale university, Banasthali University teaches more than 8 thousand students. The university accepts applications from foreign students. To ensure that the quality of education stays high the university has an academic staff consisting of more than 1400 specialists. During studies the students have the opportunity to participate in the international exchange programs.
Infrastructure
The students have access to the university’s library. Students can apply for a dormitory. It is one of the members of Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), and Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
