Al-Quds University (AQU) – public higher education institution in Palestine. The studies at Al-Quds University began in 1984. In order to get the students away from distractions and temptations of cities Al-Quds University constructed its campus outside East Jerusalem where students can focus solely on their studies.

Application process

The applicants must pass examinations as a part of the admission process. The chances of successful admission are very high as 80 percent of applicants get enrolled but that number may vary depending on the faculty. Traditionally the academic year is divided into semesters like in many other universities of Palestine. As a state university, AQU provides scholarships to remarkable students.

The composition of the university

Al-Quds University is average in terms of student capacity, teaching the maximum of 10 thousand students. Foreign citizens can also apply to the university. At Al-Quds University about 999 teachers and professors share their professional expertise. The university is an active participant of international programs aimed at academic exchange of students between the educational institutions.

Infrastructure of AQU

There is a library on the campus. The students can live on campus if the apply for a dormitory room. The university is included in the Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW).
