Vasyl’ Stus Donetsk National University or Донецький національний університет ( DonNU ) — public higher education institution in Ukraine. DonNU began its activity in 1937. Vasyl’ Stus Donetsk National University has an urban campus in Donetsk.

Vasyl’ Stus Donetsk National University is average in size with a capacity of 9 thousand students. Foreign applicants are not excluded from the admission process. Donetsk National University is one of the leading educational establishments at the East of Ukraine. It is classical University which offers undergraduate programs in natural-scientific, humanitarian and economic spheres of knowledge.DonNU consist of twelve faculties: Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology, Faculty of Physics and Technology, Faculty of Chemistry, Faculty of Biology, Faculty of Philology, Faculty of Foreign Languages, Faculty of History, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Accounting and Finance, Facultty of Economics and Law, International Faculty and Faculty of Allied Trades. Donetsk National University was founded in 1937 and at that time it included only 2 faculties: historical and philological. Numerous scientific centres work on the basis of Donetsk National University: Youth Centre of Scientific Research, Centre of International and European Law, Specialized Development Laboratory «Turbulence», Educational and Research Institute «Economic Cybernetics», Research and Educational Centre «Convergence of Nano-, Bio- and Info-Technologies for Balanced Regional [email protected] , Research Department «Physics of Magnetic Phenomena and High-Temperature Consuctivity», UNESCO Department «Environment of Industrial Region». Amount of students studying now at Donetsk National University accounts for 17 000 inlcuding approximately 300 students from foreign countries.
