University of the Punjab ( PU ) — public higher education institution in Pakistan. PU began its activity in 1882. The main building of the university is located in Lahore inside an urban campus.

University of the Punjab is among the largest universities that educates more then 34 thousand students. The admission committee accepts the applications from foreign citizens. The academic staff consists of more than 5 thousand specialists. The university participates in a variety of international exchange programs between students and academic staff. There is a library on the campus. It is one of the members of Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), and Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW).
