University of Baghdad or جامعة بغداد ( UOB ) — public higher education institution in Iraq. UOB began its work in the year 1957. The main building of the university is located in Baghdad inside an urban campus.

The composition of the university.

University of Baghdad is a big educational institution, attended by more than 67 thousand students. Foreign applicants are not excluded from the admission process. More than 7 thousand teachers are employed by the university. UOB has international student exchange programs between partner universities. Infrastructure of UOB.

There is a library on the campus. The students can live on campus if the apply for a dormitory room. It is one of the members of Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW), and Arabian University Council.

The University of Baghdad (UOB) is the largest university in Iraq and the second largest Arab university.

Bachelor — University of Baghdad

The University of Baghdad was the first university in Iraq, located in the middle of Baghdad city. It is considered the second largest university in the Arab region. Baghdad’s first college of law opened in 1908. Then, the college of medicine opened in 1927. In 1957, the University of Baghdad was officially established and was able to award degrees in its own name. The university has 24 colleges, 3 high study institutes and 9 centers spread in four main campuses. It includes 171 study majors, 6477 undergraduate students and 7517 postgraduate students. We seek to spread education and serve the society in all aspects through providing a healthy environment to inspire our academic staff and enable our graduates to deal with the latest technology in the working market. We believe practical and theoretical knowledge both are important phases in learning and achieving academic accreditation to compete internationally.
