Obafemi Awolowo University ( OAU ) — public higher education institution in Nigeria. OAU began its history in 1962. The campus of the university is well known in Ilesa where it is located.

Obafemi Awolowo University is considered to be a large university, teaching more than 29,000 students. The university accepts applications from foreign students. The university has more than 4 thousand teachers.

There is a library on the campus. The students can live on campus if the apply for a dormitory room. The university is a part of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU).
