North West University ( NWU ) — public higher education institution in South Africa. NWU was established in 2004. The campus of the university is well known in Potchefstroom where it is located.
The composition of the university.
North West University is considered to be a large university, teaching more than 45,000 students. Both citizens and foreigners are able to apply. 4% of all students are foreigners. More than 1800 teachers are employed by the university. Student exchange programs is one of the draws of the university.
Infrastructure of NWU.
The university has its own library. Also the university provides accommodations in the form of dormitories. The university is a part of the Association of African Universities (AAU) in addition to being a member of the Higher Education South Africa (HESA), International Association for the Promotion of Christian Higher Education (IAPCHE), National Association of Distance Education and Open Learning in South Africa (NADEOSA).
