Nicolaus Copernicus University, Toruń or Nicolaus Copernicus University ( UMK ) — public higher education institution in Poland. UMK began its academic activity in1945. The main building of the university is located in Torun inside an urban campus.

Nicolaus Copernicus University, Toruń is considered to be a large university, teaching more than 23,000 students. Both citizens and foreigners are able to apply. 1% of all students are foreigners. More than 2000 teachers are employed by the university. The university offers international student exchange programs, made possible by the vast network of partner educational institutions and companies.
