Latin American University of Science and Technology ( ULACIT ) — private profit higher education institution in Costa Rica. ULACIT was founded in 1988. The university has an urban campus in San Jose.
The composition of the university.
2100 students attend Latin American University of Science and Technology which puts it in the group of small universities in the classification. Both citizens and foreigners are able to apply. ULACIT has around 6% of foreign students. The academic staff consists of 150 specialists. The university offers international student exchange programs, made possible by the vast network of partner educational institutions and companies. The students have access to the university’s library. Students can apply for a dormitory. The university is a part of the Unidad de Rectores de las Universidades Privadas en Costa Rica (UNIRE) in addition to being a member of the Costa Rican-American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM), Cámara Costarricense de Tecnología de Información y Comunicación (CAMTIC), Asociación Empresarial para el Desarrollo (AED).
