Federal University of São Carlos ( UFSCar ) — public higher education institution in Brazil. UFSCar was established in 1968. It has an urban campus located in Sao Carlos.

Federal University of São Carlos is considered to be a large university, teaching more than 21,000 students. Foreign citizens can submit their applications along with the local students. At UFSCar there are about 1% of foreigners. The teaching staff consists of more than 1100 specialists. UFSCar has international student exchange programs between partner universities.
