Federal University of Piauí ( FUFPI ) — public higher education institution in Brazil. FUFPI was officially founded in 1968. In Teresina the main building of the university is located.

The university has its own library. In addition it has a developed infrastructure for students who do sports. It is a part of the Conselho de Reitores das Universidades Brasileiras (CRUB), and also a member of Rede Nacional de Extensão (RENEX).
