Cergy-Pontoise University or Université de Cergy Pontoise ( UCP ) — public higher education institution in France. UCP was officially founded in 1991. The main building of UCP is located in Cergy-Pontoise.

The composition of the university.

Cergy-Pontoise University is average in terms of student capacity, teaching the maximum of 15 thousand students. The university accepts both local and foreign students. It is worth mentioning that every 8 student of the university came from abroad. The teaching staff is 793 specialists. Foreign specialists are the majority of the academic staff. The university has international partners which allows its students to participate in exchange programs.

There are also a Doctoral School of Science and Engineering, Doctoral School of Law and Social Sciences, Doctoral School of Economy and Mathematics. In addition to the courses traditionally available in all major Universities, Cergy-Pontoise provides vocational courses responding to the needs of today?s economy. The University is an expanding state-funded scientific, cultural and vocational establishment made up of 5 teaching and research faculties : law, economy and management, languages, literature and social sciences humanities, science and technology, an administrative training institute (IPAG), a University institute of technology (IUT) and a teachers training institute (IUFM).
