Autonomous University of Baja California ( UABC ) — public higher education institution in Mexico. UABC opened its doors in 1957. The main building of the university proudly stands in Mexicali inside an urban campus.

Autonomous University of Baja California is considered to be a large university, teaching more than 39,000 students. The university accepts applications from foreign students. The academic staff of UABC includes more than 5 thousand teachers and professors. UABC has international student exchange programs between partner universities. There is a library on the campus. It is a part of the Asociación Nacional de Universidades e Instituciones de Educación Superior (ANUIES), and also a member of Consorcio de Universidades Mexicanas (CUMEX).
